Lindsay Johnson is a Designer and Art Director exploring design at the intersection of advertising and tech.
Lindsay received her MFA in Computer Art at SVA where she honed her love of designing for the digital experience with studies in UX/UI. At SVA, Lindsay also explored her passion for breaking down memorable ads and brand identities through her thesis project – a motion graphic video that pays homage to the Birkenstock and the brand’s rich heritage.
Previously at Badger & Winters, Bustle Digital Group, Robert A.M. Stern Architects, and Selldorf Architects, Lindsay is currently living and working in Los Angeles, where she is the design lead at Girlgaze. At Girlgaze Lindsay collaborated with strategy and community leads in the selection and presentation of creative talent for client partnerships; selected clients include Nike, Warby Parker, Levi’s, and Dove. Her main project while at Girlgaze has been design directing the Girlgaze Platform (MVP to launch in 2019), a new job board aimed at bridging the gender gap for female-identifying and non-binary creatives one job at a time.
When not working, Lindsay can be found visiting family and friends in New York and Portland, catching her latest Spotify discovery live, or being active through running, hiking, boxing, and soccer.
